QuickSilver_ Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I am trying, unsuccessfully , to get my Hewlet Packard 5si to work on my network. It has a jet direct card and I have it connected to a DSL gateway/4 port hub (actiontec). the network has three other computers that share the internet and I can see them and look at files across the Network Neighborhood. I am running XP pro, (I am a little new to XP), I think I need to set up some sort of print server? Tried to configure by windows add a printer. This doesn't work because it has it's own IP address, which I can ping successfully. I'm just a little stuck. Any help would be appreciated! DeMoN Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 try this program, it is the hpnetwork printer installer all u need to have is the ip of the printer and the drivers on a cd or shared drive, if you see a message to update the software say no it is not the latest resvision of the installer but works better then the newer one.
