oralpain Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 Yep, it's in my sig. My board tops out at 250 so I'm stuck at "only" 2.25 Ghz for now. I've been doing some stabiity testing in the summer heat (85F room temp) and have to losen memory timings to 3-4-4-9, wich is virtually no slower. CAS doesnt seem to mean much at all on A64s, but T1 command rate give an enormous boost in performance. going form 2.5-4-3-9 to 3-4-4-9 is less than half a percent loss in performance at the most. tRCD was already 4 and that is the only timing besides command rate tha seems to affect the A64s I've owned (3000+(C0), 3400+ (C0), and 2800+ mobile(CG)). After I finish making sure these setting are stable, I'll update my sig and benchmarks.
ClayMeow Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 wow, that's pretty sweet. do you happen to know what mobo would work that'd clock higher? 2.25 at 1.3v is insane.
oralpain Posted June 15, 2004 Posted June 15, 2004 (edited) The chaintech VNF3-250 is supposed to work with them with the new beta bios. I will probably get one, when I get some more money. I still have a C0 stepping 3400+ I can use to flash the bios before I drop in the mobile. Edited June 15, 2004 by oralpain
