Also, good to note... according to Bluesnews: Electronic Arts sends word that "Battlefield 1942 for the PC will ship Tuesday, September 10, 2002." Recalling the recent confusion over whether the game was actually gold or not, I wrote back to inquire about this (which would be easy to assume from that ship date, but there's been enough confusion about this already), and received a confirmation that the game is indeed gold.
