Mr_Yuck Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 I want to limit the bandwith that my browsers take up on the computers on the network, so that Gaming is possible while my dad shops ebay, which takes ALL the bandwidth Any pointers on how to do this? Looking for a setting in firefox, internet explorer, mozilla, windows.....whatever, I just wanna limit the bandwidth that the browsers take up... benjaminw Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Hey Mr. Yuck, there's a utility called "NetLimiter" you can install that allows you to throttle the up or down bandwidth on any proccess you're running on your PC. http://www.netlimiter.com/ I think it has a 15 day demo before it nags you to purchase. Mr_Yuck Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 yeah i tested it, my ping still went to over 1200 when my dad was surfing ebay while i was playing counter strike..
