icemiko Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 hi.. as u can see in my sig i got a celeron 2.4ghz.. right now it is clocked at 2.71ghz with 113FSB. the comp. does not want to go past 115 FSB though if i go to like 116FSB it won't boot up.. i just get a black screen.. so no bios too. i just have to wait couple min. and then it will load the bios again... what i want to ask is y can't i o/c any higher? i checked the temp. when i was @ 115FSB and it was normal.. around 47-52, so i don't think i need to do anything to the voltage. is it the motherboard not letting me o/c any higher? thanks. skibar350 Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 I know on my board when I hit 209-210 I get the same thing and that seems to be the norm for this board. It just won't do it so I think it could be for you if you can't get it to boot by raising the vcore. How are your ram timmings and vdimm. Have you locked the agp @ 66mhz or can you on that board. Also give more info when posting it would help.
icemiko Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 thanks.. yea i think its most likely the board not letting it go any higher.. the ram is fine.. and i can not lock the agp with this board btw.. its a Asrock P4 M266(A) as it says in my sig... Mangar Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 Check how hot your northbridge is getting, if its real hot, put a heatsink or fan on it. If that gets too hot it can cause O/c issues.
