SWSD Posted January 22, 2002 Posted January 22, 2002 I got a system for 3D viz [dual 1500 MP, 64MB quadro DCC, 786MB, dual 17" monitors etc...]. In a standard case with 2 HD. MB is a tyan tiger. The processors need the same cooling as 1800 XPs with fans running @ 8000 rpm, the whole lot is to noisy and heats the room up to much. Anyone got any sugestions for mods or ways to keep the noise down and improve the cooling, b4 the 9" desk fan dies on me? Cheers. ??? bass_freak Posted January 22, 2002 Posted January 22, 2002 Li Lan case is a good start, then a realy good HSF, the Volcano 7cu would be a good pick, quit 80mm fan that speeds up only when it gets hot. Then when funds are up water cool it A window would be a good touch to show off the dual Volcano 7cu in your case...make sure you got space first tho, they are good sized. I would also consider an LED screen to keep track of your temps and maybe a bay bus for the case fans to keep the noise down for ya.
