It is the first weekend in August already, and so time to go through the news that has collected over the week. First up is a new trailer from Devolver Digital and Massive Monster for Cult of the Lamb, showing off the combat the game offers, including the Bishops of the Old Faith, the greatest opposition you will face to building your cult. Luckily, you will have swords, axes, and daggers you can wield against them, as well as darker powers that can turn around even the toughest fight.

Cult of the Lamb releases August 11 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

Fulqrum Publishing has released the first Developer Diary for Men of War II from developer Best Way. With this video we get a look at the franchise's roots and transformations over the years, and some information on the game's single-player mechanics, playable factions, and the general state of development. It also shares how in multiplayer matches you can have control over certain elements of a battle, such as the advancing infantry, or be responsible for the artillery clearing a path for the infantry.

As I sort these items by the alphabetical order of publishers first, it looks like some games will be moving in the future as Koch Media is rebranding itself as Plaion. In 2018 the company joined Embracer Group and has been growing since, such as forming the Prime Matter label. The goal of this rebranding is to still carry forward the company's history but also provide an opportunity to evolve itself, in terms of the content it works with and the geography it covers. Its hope is to continue working with teams and partners across the world and help them achieve their full potential.

Survival: Fountain of Youth by Odinsoft is an upcoming single-player survival game set in the 16th century Caribbean islands and has received a new demo this week, with new systems and full gamepad support. In the game you will play as a member Juan Ponce de Leon's crew searching for the Fountain of Youth. After being shipwrecked you find yourself on an uninhabited island that you must survive on by applying your wits and skills against the elements. You will need to find food and water to survive as well as to have the energy to perform other tasks, including making shelters and clothing. Eventually you will be able to build sea-faring vessels to reach and explore other islands to gather the resources you need.

Survival: Fountain of Youth is to launch in Q1 of 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Once again Dead Cells has received an update, specifically its 30th update titled "Enter the Panchaku." What is that, you wonder? Apparently it is a weapon like nunchakus but with frying pans that will crit the enemies facing you. In addition to its arrival, this patch also brings with it a rework of 29 items, rebalances various things throughout the game, and it has received the icon Magic Bow from Soul Knight as part of a crossover. Perhaps most importantly though, with this patch you can finally pet all of your pets in the game. You can check out the patch notes via the source link but also the video for the patch here: Dead Cells: Enter the Panchaku - Gameplay Trailer.

Techland has shared some information for upcoming content for Dying Light 2. The second seasonal chapter for the game will be arriving in a couple weeks and it is titled "A Huntress and a Hag," and, importantly, it will be arriving alongside Patch 1.5 for the game. With this chapter will come Shen Xiu, the Huntress and the newest Chapter Agent that we only know as being an extremely proficient tracker with a mission for the Nightrunners. We will learn more when the content arrives though, including if you will be the hunter or the prey.

Lastly we have some news from tinyBuild as Despot's Game: Dystopian Army Builder has received its full-release date of September 15. That is when it will exit Steam Early Access and arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. To celebrate this announcement, the developers, Konfa Games, have released a prequel, Despotism 3k on Steam for free, though it is only available from August 4 to August 7.

In the game you develop your army to survive the onslaught of monsters by mutating your humans as needed. This can blur the lines between summoners and shooters who will fight alongside robots, but for when things appear lost, you can also turn to the Glory of Satan ritual to bring up an Eldritch tentacle for assistance, at the cost of an innocent.

When Despot's Game: Dystopian Army Builder releases it will be priced at $19.99.
