G.Skill Announces DDR4 3200 CL14 32 GB Modules with Kits Up to 256 GB

An occasionally annoying fact of computer performance is that a number of factors go into everything. Number of CPU threads, the speed of these threads, the amount of system memory, the speed of the memory, and even the memory timings will all contribute to a computer's speed, and some programs prefer specific characters over others. Fairly often with RAM you need to choose between high capacity or high speed, but G.Skill has announced low-latency 32 GB modules that help to upset that as it will be possible to get 256 GB kits capable of DDR4 3200 CL14-18-18-38.

To create these modules, G.Skill is using the latest 16 Gb chips that provide both high capacity and high performance, and they are being validated on multiple systems. The 256 GB kit, comprising 8x 32 GB modules, has been tested on an ASUS ROG Rampage VI Extreme Encore with the Intel Core i9-10900X, the Core i9-10940X on the SMI Creator X299, and the ASUS ROG Zenith II Extreme with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X. Whether your HEDT system is Intel or AMD based, you will still be able to couple it with 256 GB of DDR4 3200 CL14-18-18-38 memory. If you are not looking at an HEDT platform, the memory has also been validated for the AMD X570 platform in both 128 GB (4x 32 GB) and 64 GB (2x 32 GB) kits. One of the screenshots below shows a 128 GB kit on the ASUS Prime X570-P with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

Naturally these memory kits will support Intel XMP 2.0 to easily set these speeds. There will be kits using these modules under the Trident Z RGB, Trident Z Royal, and Trident Z Neo series and we can expect availability in Q1 2020.
