Have four pieces of news from Ubisoft today, so here goes. First off, it was announced that until August 26 anyone interested in trying Anno 1800 can play it on UPlay. It includes the first three tiers of the sandbox mode and the multiplayer mode. This will also be the first time players will get to experience the day-night cycle that is coming as a free update September 10. On the same day the game's second DLC, Botanica releases, enabling players to raise their city's attractiveness via a modular Botanical Garden. You can see these changes shown off in the gamescom trailer below.

If you are interested in a more action-oriented game, Ubisoft also announced For Honor Standard Edition will be free on Uplay from today to August 27. On August 22 there will be in-game activities that add new elite outfits for purchase with in-game currency. The event will also open access to a special warrior challenge and the Carousel of Death event playlist.

Another announcement today is that The Settlers a new entry in the classic series, will be releasing to PC in 2020. It development is being led by Volker Wertich, the original creator of the franchise, and Ubisoft Dusseldorf. It will bring back the best of the original gameplay, modernized and combined with new features and systems. Built in the Snowdrop engine, players will be able to enjoy PvE and PvP gameplay and three game modes; Campaign, Skirmish, and Multiplayer. Procedural map generation will afford players a genuine sense of discovery. It will be available via UPlay and the Epic Games Store, and there will be multiple editions. The Standard Edition will be the base version while the Gold Edition grants three days of early access, the Monuments & Merchants expansion and two decorative items. Two more editions are limited to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Poland, with the Entdecker Edition being a physical pack containing three lithographs, an original selected soundtrack, and one in-game decoration item. The Collector's Edition is also geographically limited, but drops Poland from the Entdecker list, and it contains a numbered Collector's box (5000 copies), an artbook, three lithographs, flower seeds, an original select soundtrack, a letter from Volker Wetich, and the content of the Gold Edition.

Lastly we come to Trials Rising and its Crash & Sunburn expansion releasing September 10. This is the game's second expansion and brings players below the Equator to the Amazon rainforest, Inca ruins, to Antarctica, and more with 37 new tracks across South America, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. The Jungle Explorer outfit is also coming, so you can ride in style, and there will be two new bikes too. The Turtle has a roll bar to protect the rider, and give them a new way to ride, while the Alpaca will change how you play with its front-wheel drive. The expansion can be purchased separately for $11.99 but is also part of the Expansion Pass for $19.99.
