Guest_Jim_* Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 Though the data makes it seem suspicious, Kyle Bennett has stated on his Twitter this is not an April Fool's joke but that on April 1 he will be starting at Intel as Director of Enthusiast Engagement, as part of the company's Technology Leadership Marketing group. Obviously there would be conflicts of interest between this role and HardOCP, so Kyle has thought a lot about what to do and decided on having HardOCP mothballed. It will cease to publish news, editorial, and hardware review content. He does not want to sell HardOCP or HardForum and potentially see them turned into something he would not be proud of. HardForum.com will continue though, as it will be sold to a company Kyle has done business with over the years and trusts. Also, HardForum will be demonitised with all advertising and commission links removed so it will not make any money. It will be left to its members to fund it through its Patreon. Kyle will remain an admin and member of the HardForum community. In his new role, Kyle Bennett will push Intel to reconnect with hardware enthusiasts, overclockers, gamers, and content creators. This means actual two-way communication and interaction, and not just talking at people. According to Kyle, "My personal opinion on this is that we need to get out there and shake your hand, grab some food, and talk Intel tech." Guest Guest Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 I wonder if they hired him to find out who his sources are and then fire him.
