Guest_Jim_* Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Being one of the primary ways we interface with our computers, finding a comfortable keyboard can be crucial to getting work done and making sure games are fun. For some of us the typical height of a mechanical keyboard is perfect, but for others we want something slimmer. For those in the latter group, Corsair has announced a pair of new Low Profile K70 Mk.2 mechanical keyboards. These keyboards are just 29 mm tall, compared to the more standard 40 mm of other mechanical keyboards, and the low profile Cherry MX switches have an actuation distance of just 1.2 mm. The difference between the two versions of this keyboard are the switch types, with one using Cherry MX Low Profile RGB Red switches and the other using the Corsair-exclusive Low Profile RGB Speed switches. Both feature an anodized aluminum frame like other K70 keyboards but designed for low-profile, per-key RGB backlighting that has been tweaked for better illumination, a detachable palm rest, dedicated volume and multimedia controls, a USB 2.0 pass-through, textured replacement WASD and QWERDF keycaps, and the 100% anti-ghosting and n-key rollover we expect of gaming keyboards. The Corsair K70 RGB Mk.2 Low Profile keyboards are available now from Corsair authorized retailers and are backed by a two-year warranty.
