Twitter Targets Consumers with Buying Feature

Twitter has announced that it is testing a new buying feature through pages that can be built by the company itself, as well as various brands and celebrities. The new feature, which targets consumers utilizing the social networking platform, allows related images and tweets to be displayed on a product page that happens to feature a "Buy on Twitter" button. According to Twitter, the company currently has more than 40 partner curators and the pages themselves will be promoted through the feeds of Twitter users.

The ability to purchase items on Twitter comes after other social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram have introduced technology that allows consumers to directly purchase items from their feeds.
