CheeseMan42 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Despite frequent rumors about the death of PC gaming, the platform continues to enjoy strong sales numbers and great games, as evidenced by the ongoing Steam sale. A new report claims that not only is PC gaming not dead, it is set to outpace console gaming by the value of games sold by the end of next year. The value of PC games sold will be about $29 billion while console games will be at $28 billion. The chief reason cited in the study was the "growing number of users in India and China as well as the growing population of eSports where the PC is the platform of choice." Other reasons given include the rise of virtual reality technology and cloud gaming services such as Steam, Uplay, and NVIDIA Grid.
