Cespenar Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) I just opened a bitmap file, changed the measurements to centimeters and drew four lines at 75 millimeters apart. When I printed the lines, they are 150 millimeters apart. Do any of you guru's know about this? Is there something I don't know about? edit: I printed what I wanted by setting as 37.5 mm and the printout was 75 mm. Weird huh? Savan Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 paint doesn't measure in mm, it measures in pixels. Now why it's about half of what you're trying for seems a little weird to me. I believe paint prints at 72dpi (dots per inch) which would be about 28 dpcm. Either way it doesn't seem to account for the 2x scaling. Cespenar Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Thanks for the reply. It is something to remember. Is there a better (and simple) program that can replace paint? I don't use it much unless a family member wants to print a picture.
