kennethk Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I'd only buy one if it had a round shape but how about you? I saw a very affordable AOC Ultrawidescreen going for $
Darth_Tom Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 My monitor is rarely used for movies, so why would I ever want a 'cinematic' aspect ratio? 2560x1080 sounds awful, and for that $400 you could have a 2560x1440 Korean IPS/PLS. I don't understand why these monitors exist really, aside from maybe the office market to replace dual monitor setups?
IVIYTH0S Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 It all went downhill after 16:10....
Waco Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I almost bought one for gaming a while back before I got my 2560x1440 monitor. Older games would really suck on it though...
kennethk Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 What I'd really like is a affordablw 29" ips display but doesnt look like that'll happen anytime soon. I thought this would be a good substitution for eyefininty but I dont like how it cant be raised up or doesnt half that half hexagon shape
VaporX Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 These do offer more view area but my experience is with day to day use I was just not happy. Gaming, was cool for games that support it but otherwise sucked, If you use your PC for just gaming and movies then this might be cool. If for anything else I am not impressed and would suggest a nice 27" IPS.
