EuroFight Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 To confirm, I removed all components from the motherboard, cleaned everything with an air duster, took the heatsink and fan off the GPU, cleaned it, reassembled it, and all issues have now gone. I think the issue may have been caused due to both overheating and faulty drivers. Thank you to everybody who helped me with this issue If anyone has the same problem, I recommend you do the following: - Stop using your computer, using your computer while the card is overheating could damage your card (Sorry, HD5450) - Uninstall your version of Catalyst and Drivers - Install the latest version of Catalyst If the issue still occurs, or another similar issue occurs; - Remove the heatsink and fan from the GPU, clean using air-duster, remove and reapply thermal paste and reassemble your GPU If your system is being particularly stubborn - Open the AMD VISION Control Center, go to Performance > AMD OverDrive - Click accept to any messages - Check the "Enable manual fan control" checkbox, and move the slider to 100% - Click "Apply"

EuroFight Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 I hoped I'd seen the end of this...alas no. The issues have continued Firstly it happened once every day or so, then twice, and so on, until now when I can't even run Minecraft without the video card crashing out completely. I have contacted XFX and Sapphire regarding this issue to no avail. I am considering contacting Gigabyte, to see if the mobo is causing the issues perhaps? Waco Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Does the CPU still test stable? Are you sure your PSU is operating correctly?
EuroFight Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Does the CPU still test stable? Are you sure your PSU is operating correctly? Yeah I haven't had any problems with either. All other components in the system work okay, except the graphics card...I also manually checked the 12v rail on the PSU which seemed fine. I have run OCCT for 3hrs and it has been successful. EuroFight Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I just thought - could the issue be related to a low voltage coming from the motherboard PCIe port? (Both cards had no direct PSU power)
