FSB Termination Voltage

Hello, I'm wondering if FSB termination voltage, of 1.38V is too much for every day use PC. The CPU is a E8600 running at a vary stable 4.44 GHz. CPU V-Core 1.33750V, NB 1.31V, 444X10 on 333 FSB Strap to North Bridge.

Asus Maximus Formula MOB, PC28500 memory running at 1066 mhz. Every thing is running great and temps. are 37 c @idle and 57c @full-load prime 95.

When every thing is in default settings the FSBTV is 1.24V on Auto, I just leave it on Auto and never payed any attention to it. But yesterday I checked all voltages and noticed on Auto FSB Termination is reading 1.38V.

That seems vary high to me? I read that 45nm cpu's can only go 1.4V Max or cause damage to CPU. I reset FSB Termination voltage to 1.34V about the same as cpu v core till I find out what is too high or OK for this setting,

When I switched from Auto 1.38V to 1.30V I lost about 39 points on overall score in Sandra. Thanks for any information or suggestions.

I'm not familiar with sisoft sandra but I imagine 39 points is within statistical variation. 1.38V isn't too high as such but if you are running 440 FSB you shouldn't need any more than 1.2V.

Thank You for the reply, I feel better knowing my mother board is not over volting things when in Auto setting, Below is a link to the information on FSB termination voltage and Overclocking I was reading.
