InCrYsIs Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 In general the P series boards WERE better overclockers Crysis - post up your current BIOS settings and I'll have a look. Not sure where to go from here. There must be something right since I can get into windows. Even though when I reboot it fails. Frustrating. Going to give it another shot tonight and see if I can get something stable. If not, I will just let it go. I mean this stuff is getting old anyway and its getting time to upgrade. No money so I am trying to maxmize this to hold out.
wevsspot Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 NP - I played with a 9550 and 9650 a bunch. I only got the 9550 stable at 3.8Ghz, but I did finally manage to get the 9650 to 4.0Ghz. Although looking back, it seems the 9550 was easier to o/c for some reason. Good luck and let me know if the new settings help. If not, we can keep working it until we are both defeated

wevsspot Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Ha.... yes 1N / 2N or 1T / 2T all the same thing. Another big thank you to m/b bios engineers who can't ever agree on calling everything in the BIOS the same from one board/brand to another. InCrYsIs Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 That last bunch of settings did not work, no post. I have been playing with it and some settings I try get me to windows and I can run prime but when I reboot it fails. There must be one setting off or something. I even got in to windows with 500fsb and ram at 1600.
