DarkStarCollect Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Hi there I recently built up a pc from some parts I bought on carbonite and some that I bought new, however there is something wrong with the PC because once it boots into windows, it sometimes just freezes, or freezes with an annoying sound. I would just be installing a new software, or playing a game, or something and it would just freeze. These are the components I have in the rig: MSI P45 Platinum Motherboard(2nd hand 2years old) Q9650 Core 2 Quad processor(2nd hand 2years old) Corsair Dominator 4 x 2GB DDR2(2nd hand 2years old) Inno 3D GTX460 1GB(2nd hand 1month old) Gigabyte ODIN 585w(New) Thermaltake A60 case with 6 fans(So heat shouldnt be a prob)(2nd hand 1year old) Coolermaster Hyper 212plus CPU cooler(New) Seagate Barracuda 500GB(New) Windows 7 Home 64bit I bought the coolermaster CPU cooler because I was running the stock cooler on my CPU and then while playing a game the CPU temp would go to 75degrees, then the PC would freeze, but now it never goes above 50degrees. I would appreciate any advice you could give me Thanks
