Can i get this to computer to run cooler.

I have a MSi bang Bus Xpower motherboard:

Haf X case

intel I-950

Corsair H70 to cool cpu.

1 gtx 480 gpu

corsair power supply 1000 watts

12gb corsair dominator 2133ghz with fans and Corsair Airflow pro.

2 corsair force 60Gb ssd in raid 0

1 corsair force 120 ssd

1 tb harddrive

I overclocked Cpu to 3.682 stock 3.05

memory stable at 1600mhz

system temp is 100 degrees

cpu 44 c ambient temp is 83 F in room .

can i over clock this faster and still keep my temps low and stable.

I used antec formula 5 silver thermal compound on cpu and h70 heatsink. small amount on both running a bussiness card to make it thinner..

What do your load temps get up to? As long as the chip doesn't get too hot I don't see what would be holding you back from reaching 4.0GHz, but I don't know much about Intel chips since socket 478 lol

First off........ welcome to OCC Mastercraft :) Did you pick your user name because you like Mastercraft boats?

I agree with imm0rt,

As long as temps stay in check you should be easily able to hit 4.0Ghz.

I'm running the same setup and I run at 4.02Ghz 24/7

For benchmarks I run at 4.40Ghz with sane voltages without problems.

Your real challenge is accepting that you probably won't be able to run 4.0Ghz with 12Gb of memory running at DDR3 2000 speeds.

If you're interested, reset your BIOS to Optimized Defaults and give these settings a try;

Bclk - 175

CPU Multiplier - 23

CPU Voltage - 1.318v

QPI Voltage - 1.310v

Intel Thermal Protection - Off

Intel Turbo Mode - Off

RAM - Linked

Memory Timings 8-8-8-24 1T @ 1750Mhz

DRAM Voltage - 1.64v

CPU Voltage Droop - Low

QPI Voltage Droop - Low

Spread Spectrum - disabled

Anything I didn't specifically mention leave at Auto settings

Using BIOS revision 1.6 released on 3/29/2011
