Regardless, I have a near 100% functional 8800GT that has a Zalman VF830 cooler on it. AFAIK this card functions fine with light use but when you load an intensive game it acts up, I am almost certain that if you reapplied some thermal paste and maybe added some ramsinks that it would work fine.
