snbase Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 ENERMAX T.B. APOLLISH 120mm Blue Fans UCTA12N-BL Are these good quality fans? Are they very bright? I want to get a couple of these and hook them up to a fan controller.
jk336699 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 they look really cool! based on the specs... they are quiet fans with lower air flow...
Waco Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 As far as I can tell they look like standard fans with a ton of LEDs...probably overly bright unless you dial them down.
PruritusAni Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I don't own the Apollish but I do have some Enermax Magmas and a TB silence (all 120mm) in my case. The TB Silence is very quiet, but doesn't move too much air. It does a decent job putting some fresh air on the graphics card though. The Magmas are on the other side of the spectrum: move a LOT of air, but they can get quite loud (with wooshing, I didn't notice any particularly annoying noises from the motor). I ended up running them through some resistors to get the balance of woosh and cool. I think the Enermax fans are way better than other fans I have owned in terms of performance vs price. (My Noiseblocker NB Multiframe is a better performer, but it was very expensive; I only own one of those, and it's on my CPU cooler.). A decent fan controller (one with enough oomph per channel) should help you find the sweet spot for those Apollishes.
