Q6600 Temps confusion

Hi guys,

Im into the overkclocking for a while now, but i thing that there is some confusion (not only with me) about all the fuss about the temperatures.

So i have a few questions.

First of all, what is

Tjunction

Tjunction max

Tcase

Tcase max

Also i have found some temperatures on the site of intel, about the max temp of my chip.

But again, is this the Tjunction, Tcase, or the temp of the cores 0 - 3, as i read them in speedfan?

I have the G0 stepping.

post-74251-1293386986733_thumb.jpg

this are my speedfan settings, but again, which number represents wich temperature?

System specifications:

P5B motherboard

intel core 2 quad q6600 (G0)

I hope that my question is clear and that some of you are able to answer it.

thanks,

Laulie

Tcase is (i think) the thermal limit of the chip.So the chip will throttle down if it hits or gets near its threshold.I think you can also adjust this behaviour in your bios. The others idk tbh.I'll let one of the more experienced guys answer that one.
