kobalt Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I have this newb question to ask i never had a motherboard that i could put 2 video cards in and i still dont but i'm looking at the ASUS M3N-HT DELUXE and presently i have a BFG GTX-260 maxcore55 as a video card and i also have a small almost unused GT 220 could those be put together on the board and would that do any kind of a diffrence on the main one if i could ? ---> noob hiding Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
hardnrg Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 With SLI, you really need two identical cards (can be different brands or pre-overclocked)... The GT220 is a weak card, it's ok as a HTPC card, but 3D is not its strength... you could use it as a PhysX card, to give you a boost in games that use PhysX hardware physics processing, but that's about it, unless you want to run more than 2 displays, then it would give you the 2 extra (iirc, even though the GT220 has 3 outputs, it can only display on 2 simultaneously) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
