CheeseMan42 Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 i was just wondering if anyone had seen a difference in speed between the two cores? i am bringing this up because yesterday i was doing about 8min per frame on tinker (with flags). before the flags i was doing about 12-13min per frame. now i have gromacs and am doing about 12 with flags. anyone seen this or know why this happened? sykocus Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 you can see this comparison for a 50pt gromacs vs 70pt tinker. tinker cores don't use any optimazations if i remember correctly. http://forums.overclockersclub.com/?showtopic=16911 I've found the "dimmer" (p848_p53dimmer848, etc.) wu are the best "bang for buck" only worth 32pts or so, they yield just over 3 points per hr on both the opteron and athlon machines.
