clay31 Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 (edited) i was just in my bios and noticed the multi set to auto or somethin. i never noticed before couse i never looked for it couse i thought my cpu was locked.well i saw this and decided to set it to manual and vwalla i am now able to ajust my multi by .5 incaments. whaaaa? i tyhought my cpu was locked. now i know some mother boards can unlock older locked cpu but mines isnt to olod i dont think, i just got it from new egg a week ago and its a week 45 i think. k now i want to test this but i want my fsb to stay at 400 (currentaly at 200x11) what would i set the multi and fsb at for it to stay at 400 mhz fsb? exeter_acres Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 Double check, but to my knowledge, even though you can change it in the BIOS, it doesn't really do anything... change it, reboot, and check your speed with WCPUID or CPU-Z....
