t3hscorchxp Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 hi, i might not be much of a help, but i have used the ocz vendetta 2. if your in canada, use directcanada as its only 20 dollars, it will save you a good bit of money for better parts. the ocz does perform very well for the price, and when it was reviewed, it was 40 dollars http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/ocz_vendetta_2/ i would suggest if buying this heat sink, getting a differnet fan, only cause the dead spot ( center is bigger then usual), you can use that fan somewhere else on the case it has alot of surface area, great look, pipes make direct contact witht he cpu, however the heat sink only allows for one fan, and its tall, i know this is not your case, but i installed on in my friends case which was an antec 900. the side fans corner had to be cut in order for the heat sink to fit

Hienrich Jager Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I have the Thermalright 120 eXtreme that you list. I have really enjoyed it and it has worked very well for me in my Antec 300 case. Quite and very good cooling. Hope this helps. Jager
sack_patrol Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I bought a Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer 4 for around 50$ a year ago. It's a pretty good cooler for the price. The best thing to do is just look around the internet for reviews on coolers that you like. See how they do against the other coolers in the tests n stuff... That's how I bought my whole PC. t3hscorchxp Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 so very true, thats what i do, i believe most people do. +1 on the core contact, i bought it for 36 dollars, its a great heatink, its cooling my amd 550 thats unlocked to a quad at 3.62 ghz, because its unlocked cant tell temps, but my temp display says like 30 lol, i think its wrong though, fans and pipes r about room temp, all i knwo is it keeps my cpu stable as i had my room up to 30c playing left 4 dead 2, no problems The best thing to do is just look around the internet for reviews on coolers that you like.
