phenom ii 955 1.45v 3.7ghz

Recommended Posts

ive got my phenom ii overclocked as high as i think it currently can go, its at 3.7 ghz 1.45 voltage, is it just me or does that voltage seem excessive for a phenom ii 955 3.7 ghz, ive tinkered with everything i think i just have a bad overclocker (its a "c2" i think)

Mine hits 3.6 at a +.25v overvolt. I think you're right. That's a bit high for 3.7. I think I could go 3.8 if I wanted to on that voltage.

Hmm. Not sure. All chips are different, as they say. But I do know mine is C2 stepping, as well. So it's really anyone's guess :P

C3 revision, 1.4v, 3.91Ghz overclock stable for my phenom 955 BE.

955's C3 revisions are capable of 4GHz+ but good cooling is a must. C2 revisions OC 3.9Ghz or so. The difference is the IMC was reworked on C3 revision.

yeah I had mine over 4Ghz but I needed to push the voltage past 1.45 which made it very hot on air cooling. If I used water I would try it again. Until then I'm stuck at 3.91Ghz.
