My_Inner_Fred Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 Intel CPUs have the ability to down clock when it is idle therefore lowing CPU performance and saving power. Its efficient ar saving power. I don't know if AMD have something similar to this on there CPUs, I've never owned a desktop with a AMD CPU. CowKing Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 have you run any stress tests or has it crashed to cause you to think that it is unstable?
My_Inner_Fred Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 It should be stable, He didn't overclock it. Its on stock isn't it?
wormy Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 first thing i would check is make sure the voltages are set to spec. sometimes the motherboard dose not set them as they should be.
Katas Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 For your cores going down to 800 is probably from Cool and Quiet being turned on in bios.

Katas Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 What are you doing when you get that blue screen? From some brief google searches to fix it depends on what is causing it, ie. opening cd drive, starting a program.
felty04 Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 (edited) i'm pretty sure its something with internet explorer? i cant load certain websites including the Microsoft support for them to take control of my computer....i'm reinstalling windows to try and fix that problem now. i found on google a way to fix bad_pool_header through regedt32 Edited February 23, 2010 by felty04
