Nicckko Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) Hello people, During the past days I was bored waiting to begin my new work, so I have been playing with my Computer. To cool my CPU I'm using the Corsair H50, which so far I'm loving it in dual fan push/pull configuration exhausting air from my case (opposite as Corsair suggests, I tested both configurations and this one produced the best results so far). Also, I switched my video card to the lower PCI Express slot. Finally, :angry2: I brutally modified my stock intel cpu fan, attached it to the tubes of the h50 to cool the Northridge, runs like a pan without cooling 60 C +. My current setup is the following: Asus Rampage II Gene Core i7 920 / 4.01 GHz 1.25 v Corsair H50 dual push/pull exhaust fans Patriot Gamer Series 6GB DDR3 1600 MHz / 1690 MHz Sapphire HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 2 x Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500 GB SATA (Raid 0) CoolMax 600 W Cooler Master Storm Scout So far I have managed to get an stable 4.01 GHz overclock, with the following settings: Somehow my motherboard or processor loves the 19 x multiplier, requiring less voltage than a 20 x multiplier ... for 20 x 200 i need 1.26 Vcore and QPI Few stability tests, both on max memory usage, it was completly stable in OCCT on both CPU:OCCT and CPU:LINPACK during 1 hour: I will run some oldschool Prime95 during the following nights to be safe Here goes the machine under load to check the load line calibration: Few benchmarks: Well that is all for now, feel free to comment ... I am planning to use this 24/7, what do you think ?? Edited January 22, 2010 by Nicckko
shiver_8 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Nice results! As long as it's stable and your temps are under control then 24/7 its a very good clock!
