underclocked Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 i already told u how to set ur memory set memory clock- manual memory clock- x5.66 Dram Config- 7.7.7.20 system voltage control- manual ddr2 voltage control- 2.1v ya i know you did but it doesnt take it double boots meaning it goes to the second bios and goes back to stock. beleive me man the memory should be easier then it is... i didnt try 7-7-7-20 yet though. what do you suggest for that 1t or 2t... and also people were telling me ima have to adjust my fsb also. but i see some posts of other peoples attemts and all they do is adjust fsb but in order to do that i would still have to manually change it to 5.33 anyway right? so frustrating to someone new to this whole thing lol. anyway potatochobit ill try those settings and go from there =) thanks again homie! underclocked Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 nope potato doesnt work homie... not on 7-7-7-20 or 5-5-5-15 or 6-6-6-18 and none of the variables for timing or voltage and the suky part is im not even to lazy to keep tryin different stuff like you guys say to. everyone says keep tryin till you get it but i never have time. for some reason when i screw with it and it doesnt like the settings i have to clear the cmos cause dual bios doesnt kick in which takes even more time... this is worst then being sexually frustarated lol
potatochobit Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 have you updated your bios since you bought the motherboard? click here for list of bios GA-MA770-UD3 this is for REVISION 1.o! check your motherboard, if u have 2.0 or 2.1 click the appropriate links inside you must enter the settings exactly like i said do not touch the FSB do not change it to 1T make sure you have at least bios F5, but go ahead and download F8 when u have the time if it still does not work you might be out of luck

slick2500 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Put the bios files on an empty thumb drive during boot hit f9, I think it is for Gigabyte, and it will load the bios update utility follow the instructions there.
underclocked Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 is it neccisary to update bios... if so what size drive should i buy
potatochobit Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 you cannot overclock your memory without updating the bios you do not have a usb stick for like school or something? we can do it without this stick but you need to install @bios, it comes with your motherboards CD you can download it here if you did not install it yet now this is IMPORTANT if you are not sure about what revision your motherboard is, look here for an example make SURE you download the bios for revision 2.0 if your board is revision 2.0 now download the bios file and save it to your desktop, DO NOT download a beta bios, choose F8 if you have revision 1.0 turn off any antivirus program if you can run @bios and select update bios from specific file, browse to your desktop and load the bios file your computer WILL freeze for 5mins
