tbris84 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I'm new to overclocking. I have this CPU (AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition) clocked at 3800, by following step by step instruction from one of the 955 BE OC'ing 101 articles I found. I have one basic question... with this CPU having an unlocked multiplier, I know that allows me to change it from X to Y by just typing whatever number I want, but does that also mean the multiplier is supposed to vary while in use? Running CPU-Z I notice it changes from 4x to 19x and every number in between. That's normal I hope? TY.
insan3 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 (edited) because u still have power saving feature on, once you turn it off it will stay @ 19x. look in your bios for it and turn it off. Edited January 6, 2010 by insan3
