maki Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 For mobo links- HP- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...7-861-_-Product Asus- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813131376 I've heard that "e" branded AMD's are bad for OC'ing, especially on the HP's terrible mobo. Any chance on the new (asus) one? And if there are any nice, cheap watercoolers, my friend oc'ed his dual core and is doing just as well as my quad

maki Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 U cant, thats why I added the new Asus board i'm getting. I know you can't get threw on BIOS, but what about a physical OC?
CowKing Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 You can do it in windows but you'll be severely limited in your options, but i OCed my 9150e to 2.0 from 1.8 which isn't the best but it's my parents computer so i didn't want to mess around too much and have a disaster on my hands. also did you get that ASUS from HP or from a site like newegg. If you got it from a retailer than you more than likely can go through the BIOS
maki Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 NewEgg all the way. Not getting anything from the OEM guys (HP and Dell, etc) again, especially pre-built systems.
