Temps very different

Note: I'm talking about stock speeds AND my computer is out on a desk with plenty of fans.

Okay so my load temps was something like 65 on the cpu and on each core something like 53, 62, 57, 63 in speed fan, so I removed the cooler and reattached it after reapplying thermal paste, not only cause the temps seemed uneven but also because those temps are way higher than Hard OCP's temps and I thought one of the push pins wasn't on all the way (I'm still not sure if it was or wasn't)

[these temps are all at load] So after reapplying thermal grease the cpu is 59 and the cores are 51,51,50,49 [in speed fan]. But then I downloaded core temp and the temps are 67,67,65,64

If the temps really are this high I'm thinking it is the push-pin mounting, it really sucks but I'm 99% sure it is on evenly and correctly, and I don't think I applied too much or too little thermal grease

[edit: real temp 3.00 temps at load: 66,66,64,64

my question is what temps are you getting (and on which temperature measuring program)on your I7 with a true or any other large cooler at stock (or if you don't know whats your overclock temps)?

my other question is which one should I judge the temp from core temp or speed fan? with speed fan I have a little room to overclock and with core temp I'm already too hot

Core temp is a better program.

What is the ambient room temp in which your computer is in?

This has a big factor in how cool your cpu will run.

You may need better fans on your cpu cooler?

I've seen i7's under full load hit 100c

So 66c under full load is a little high. For stock

Whats your cpu voltage set to?

Are you using cpuz?
