Dariuas Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 (edited) System: Asus P6T Deluxe OC Palm CPU: Core i7 920 (3.5 current stable OC) Coolit Domino A.L.C OCZ Platinum DDR3 1600 Sapphire 4870x2 CM Storm Sniper Case I can get a stable 3.7, but beyond that, Prime95, and 3DMark06 becomes unstable and my system goes bye bye. I would like to Overclock beyond what it is, and I imagine its something to do with my memory slowing me down. Dariuas Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Maybe add more vcore? Use BIOS for Overclocking not AI suite Was using AI Suite to show what the settings were. Added Vcore, becomes unstable.
Verran Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Added Vcore, becomes unstable. Adding vCore makes it more unstable? That doesn't make sense.
Dariuas Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Adding vCore makes it more unstable? That doesn't make sense. I am still new to OCing, so I guess, I am lost on what VCore is, I added CPU Voltage and BLCK Freq and if I go over 200 it becomes unstable. Any other advice? I don't really know about RAM timing and such, if someone could give pointers on what to do with that if that could be causing the issue..
