FEEDTHEADDICTION Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 When I set Vcore to 1.30000 in bios, windows gives me 1.34 - 1.32 (CPUZ)... Why does it do that? Should I take bios or CPUZ into account for safety? running Q9550 on striker II extreme

a93j202k Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 +1 Are the striker boards designed that way?
Turophiliac Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 negative vdroop is possible. Happens alot with pencil mods. Its a good thing Wrong. vdroop and vdrop are safety measures to make sure that your CPU doesn't get more volts from the mobo it should. And the Striker boards do have a stupid setting by ASUS in an effort to appease people that don't think vdroop or vdrop are good. @ OP: Turn off LoadLine Calibration and it should solve your problem and make your voltages correct. FEEDTHEADDICTION Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I have always kept it off, as I have read that removing vdroop is potentially dangerous for your chip...
