Nuclear Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I had some extra parts lying around so I just decided to throw a rig together real quick and have some fun. I used a 9850BE along with a Gigia 780G mATX board I had and some DDR2 800 GSkill that's been collecting dust. I got the HD 4850 off the shelf and away we went. After some minor tweaks and adjustments it's running smooth as butter, quite a fun chip to OC! 2.99GHz @ 230x13, NB @ 2.3GHz, and RAM running 460MHz @ 5-5-5-15. I can boot into Vista x64 at 3.2Ghz with the same voltages but it's just a kamikaze run. I can get the NB to run up to ~2.4GHz but I'm not happy with the voltage needed. I'm going to tighten down the timings get it stable around 3.1GHz without any more vcore and I'll be happy. It's kinda sad it will all go back on the shelves or reconfigured by this time tomorrow. Here are some CPU-Z screens and a link to the current 3DMark06 score with this litle rig. The HD 4850 is running at 690/1155 for these runs ( I didn't want to stress it since I'm trying to sell it) 3DMark06: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=10058526
