Custom Wc On 400-500cdn Budget?

I've been looking into getting into water cooling. Initially i was considering the coolit Freezone Elite for the ease of install and low maintenance. The elite costs around 400cdn. Reviewers seem to like it while forum posters do not. Anyone interested in pricing out a 400-500 dollar custom WC setup? Im interested in some sort of TEC in the loop. Looking to cool only the cpu, the gpu's have never reached over 70 degrees. not looking for flashy parts, just high end performance. Possible on a 400-500 dollar budget? Thanks in advance for your time, looking forward to see what you guys can come up with.

Not sure if you can squeeze a TEC in for that price, but you can get a heck of a good loop for that. If I had more time, I'd list some parts from Petra's Tech shop. Check out the Watercooling Info thread that is stickied here.

Well after looking through some of the water cooling resources found around here I've put together what i think will be a decent single loop WC setup. Only going to start with a CPU block for now, my gpu temps have never been over 70 degrees load. how important is a chipset block when you start pushing the cpu?

As for barbs and tubing. from what i understand using 1/2" barbs withs 3/8" tubing is harder to install but less prone to leakage?

Excellent choices dirty, add to it some Tygon 1/2" tubing. Could do without the res, but heck, it looks so good. Great stuff there.

Thanks for the input Voltes. For the rad I've been looking into the Thermochill stuff. mainly because they sell a decent looking shroud. have any experiance with them?

I'll be sure to slap a local 2103 sitcker on my rig when i post some pics
