abid Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 (edited) hey guys! i got the patriot ram low latency 2gb (2x 1gb) kit (4-4-4-12), 2.2v 800MHz extreme performance. so should i overclock it so it would suit with my q6600 at 3GHz (9x333) @ 1.2625v. So any suggestion? should i OC or dont have to OC? thanks Edited December 8, 2008 by abid
dr_bowtie Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Those are the LLK version and some clock good and some dont... I believe those are still the D9 chips... I have an exact set and mine will do 900mhz before i have to loosen the timings to 5-5-5-18 to go higher.... but even at that they really fly bandwidth wise.... I don't think it makes any difference but it sure looks nice and the higher FSB will help with multithreaded apps.
