AR-fatality Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 my motherboard doesnt have built in support for wifi but is it possible to get a device which would allow wifi access. Are there external or internal wifi adapters available? Help appreciated
Dr_Frankenstein Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 There are plenty to choose from ideally go for a PCI version. If you don't want to open up the PC there are also lots of USB Wireless dongles, Your local pc shop should be able to sort you out
SuppA-SnipA Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 yes there are wifi cards with a pci interface or a usb interface, i'd say go with the pci, but if u dont want to open ur pc, go with usb
Hyper Threaded Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Both options are fine, really. I would suggest the PCI card, you won't have another gadget cluttering up the desk. Models from all the well-known brands such as D-Link, Linksys and Netgear are good.
