ReelFiles Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I don't think it makes enough of a difference to matter, some might say that pulling would avoid the dead spot directly if front of the fan's hub. Most fans are mounted to push against the heat sink, from my experience anyway. Can't hurt to try, but I'd be surprised if you see more than a 1C difference, if even that much. radodrill Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Stock Heatsink fans generally blow down (towards the motherboard) to provide some airflow across the PWMICs; but as reelfiles indicated, due to the design of the Ultra 120 this isn't a factor. ReelFiles Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Wouldn't matter much with that HS, generally you'd want it to blow towards the back of the case to vent out quickly, but some mobos make you mount with the fan blowing towards the bottom or top of the case depending on socket orientation.
