belialtheunholy Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Before you say "reinstall your drivers", "install codecs", blah blah blah, I've already done this. I'm experiencing latency in my audio and video. Every couple seconds, my audio and or video will slow down and it sounds like you put your finger on a record and it gets all slow... but it sounds digital (I'm sure you know what I mean). I re-installed the RealTek drivers that are on the driver disc that came with my motherboard. Then I installed an all-in-one codec pack. Finally, I tried installing Windows Media Player 11 to see if that could've been the problem and still nothing. I'm thinking that maybe this could be a motherboard problem. I wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this problem as well?

belialtheunholy Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 P.S.- I just updates my BIOS to the 7/26/2007 one, reinstalled Flash Player, and Shockwave to no avail. If I'm listening to music on my iTunes it happens, if I'm watching a streaming video it happens, if I put a DVD in my drive to watch it happens. Basically, it always happens no matter what I'm doing. I went to my device manager and everything is working properly and has the most current drivers. Still after three days, nobody has any idea what I'm talking about? Nobody has heard of this problem, or experienced it?
soundx98 Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Never heard of anything like that either. Have you tried an OS re-install?
empoy Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 since reinstalling drivers or codecs are not helping, how about using the nforce sound drivers instead of realtek's?
Spunkmeyer6 Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 Learned a long time ago to never install codec packs for various issues. Just install the individual codecs that you require, oh and for a system like that why you running onboard sound anyway??
AnUnknownSource Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 It sounds like a problem with a codec, but seeing as you're experiencing it with different types of media, it may be something thats running in the background. Try shutting down everything that runs in the background, and see if it happens. If it does, download and run HiJackThis and post the log it creates here. If I don't reply after you've done that, shoot me a PM to give me a nudge :-)

krazypoloc Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 First off, you mean to tell me your running a notebook VGA card in your desktop? Just curious because I didn't think that was possible. Try downloading VLC and playing something with it. VLC is an open source media player that plays absolutely everything natively. So if it is a codec problem or an application problem this will rule some things out.
belialtheunholy Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 No, there's no notebook VGA in my desktop. And VLC didn't work.
