ShadeZeRO Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hey everyone, I seem to be having a problem with the latest installer. Cat 7.2's. When I extract and run setup, it says RPC Server unavailable. Both the RPC services are running, what else could the problem be? "Failed to connect to server. Error: 0x800706BA" Which is in the event log. ShadeZeRO Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Praise Google Hallelujah! 8. if you get this error on windows XP SP2 when trying to install driversSetup failed to launch installation engine: The RPC server is unavailable. goto start>run>type in services.msc>goto DCOM Server Process Launcher>set it to automatic It worked =) Hopefully this helps people out.
