Uninstall Vista

I built a computer for my doctor & he installed Vista on it. He likes it.

However, he wasn't aware of Microsoft licensing & he installed it on his laptop too. Of course MS caught the illegal install & now he wants to rollback to XP. Am I correct in assuming that Vista cannot be uninstalled or rolled back?

I don´t think that you can just run a roll-back... Delete it from the laptop (save data first), that should be enough. He might have to explain it while activating Vista on his first machine via phone.

LOL He already had the run-in w/ them. Like I said he was unaware of the licensing so he tried to activate it. When it failed he phoned MS. He got an earful.

No downgrade through the OS.

Only viable option is to reformat.

This is pretty much what I thought. In the past you could rollback if you didn't like the upgrade. MS has another strike against them.
