Flybye Posted February 1, 2007 Posted February 1, 2007 So lets say I have my FSB running at 300+mhz, but am maintaining the ram at around 200mhz (to be on the safe side for now) using the dividers, and I continue to raise the FSB. Am I supposed to also raise the Ram voltage to try to keep up with the higher FSB and higher CPU speed even though the ram's mhz is so low? Because in some instances, this is what I have been doing because I noticed an increase in stability with my old 512x4 sticks, but am wondering if I shouldn't be doing it with my new ram and instead should just try to tweak it. Guest Radiohead Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Personally I'd simply try to tweak the RAM. Throughing more voltage at the RAM isn't always the answer. Things certainly aren't the way they were a year or two ago. If the RAMs still running around stock speeds then just tweak it.
