Sydney Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Depends on how much volts a 100 MHz is worth to you. Maybe on your rig Yeah youre right actually, I was comparing it to my dc opty @ 3ghz But even still, you get to a point with normal cooling where upping the voltage doesnt help the overclock, since the extra heat generated is detrimental to the stability. Praz Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Memory is fine When it comes to memory and power supplies, that phrase seems to be the most popular one on this forum.

Funny how that works
prosser13 Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Lol - I know its fine because its running well within stock timings at above stock voltage, below stock speed! Hehe. I've booted at 1.55V with 285mhz FSB, and its booted
THEnumber337 Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Those are some pretty nice temps you're getting there. I had a 3800+ Venice on a stock cooler but I didn't go above 1.475 volts and it was Priming at like 55 degrees C....
prosser13 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Well, I started having to up the voltage a lot to get anywhere, had to stop for Crimbo but got to 2.633ghz (293mhz) with about 1.57V (using special as well as VCore). That gave me 34 seconds with SuperPi - I'm going to push for 300mhz FSB when I get a chance, busy playing BF2 at the mo lol. I run my PC everyday at 271mhz FSB (2439mhz) with 1.475V, have played BF2 for 23 hours since I got it for Crimbo and not a single crash
red930 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Is it a E6? if so it should go to 2750. But it will take 1.65v to prime. 4 of my 6 PCs have E6 Venices and all do 2750 to 2950 with 1.65+v when i see CPUZ say 1.696 im there;)
