Dan42684 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 What's an excellent 2.1 speaker set on the market? I dont care for huge thump out of my sub but I like alot of clarity in my sound. My current speakers are bad so I threw them out.

Smoken Joe Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 Unless you get real speakers and a AMP these are probibily the best. Do not get the Promedia!! The Kiplitch promedia speakers have an amp that is pure crap and even though they sound great they die like flyes. You should confirm that they have not made any change to make them less reliable though- the dead promedias are documented all over the web. (I had one too). They were at costco for dirt cheap for a wile might check there and see if they are avalable. There are several posts on this if you want to do a search. The top logitecs are good too the mid range ones that are popular here suck for music big time. I have the Kiplitch and AV123 speakers right now to a 7.1 AMP- so I can alternate. http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/ifi.aspx Edit: (Fixed title)

Fenix-Dark Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 "I dont care for huge thump out of my sub but I like alot of clarity in my sound." Logitech speakers = thump I'd go for the Klipsch, but you may want to consider these Altec Lansing speakers http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16836113140
Dan42684 Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 179.99 is way too steep for a 2.1 set my budget is around 100 dollars. I know the logitech are a little over 100 but thats not by alot.

brothergc Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 I just got these and love them http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16836113008 what sets these apart from other 2.1s is I can enable a function in the speakers called "STX" makes everything sound so much better also seperate comtrols for loudness , bass, and trebel . Also comes with a nice little remote control .
