3stars Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 try core temp it's about the most acurate for mesuring the temps and keep them under 50 if you can read the guide and find the max of both ram and cpu but remember mhz is king so don't fret if your ram is on a divider just saw your sig and start saving for a decent psu also check the rails with a dmm it could be holding you back if it's a cheapy(psu)
sswilson Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I've checked my bios and the next setting down from 1:1 is 1:0.8 which it is set to at present. If I drop the muliplier by one and raise the HT do I leave the cpu frequency at 225Mhz? or do I rasie that too? If you drop your cpu multiplier to 9 and raise your HTT (fsb or cpu freq) to 250 you'll end up with 9X250 = 2250 (same as you had at the X10 multiplier) your HT will be 4X250 = 1000 (just right) and your mem (left at the same divider) will raise (don't know how much I'd have to use the mem freq calculator.... ).
