krazypoloc Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Hey first you need to compile a list of hardware and put it in your sugnature. It's in the forum rules. Then we will be able to help you out much better. Welcome to The Street!!
THunDA Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Clear your cmos.. Load bios defaults.. Run memtest now.. see what happens. Are you overclocking ? If so set everything to default and work your way up again.. its a whole different story when your running 4gigs as its more stress on the cpu's memory controller. loggan26 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Like they advised you across there you have got a motherboard that is maybe a little advanced for your skills......so you need to start from scratch if your gonna get the most out of it..... You need to follow the Build Guide.......You also have to look at the Overclocking Guide.....read it a few times.....then when your cool with all that...............then...... I would Do like Thunda says.......... Logan

Oceanborn Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Any chance you forgot to disable "CPC (Command per clock) in the GENIE BIOS?? you're running 4 sticks of ram after all...

loggan26 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Yes i wondered about that, the OCz site says 2,3,3,8 seemed hell of a tight for 1gb sticks, no matter edited it... Logan

Punk642001 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 ok i tryed those settings and i still got 22000 errors on test # 5 any other ideas?
ganders75 Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 OK, some duff advice given in that thread you posted... Settings on auto will not work well of a DFI board, full-stop. There is almost no chance of getting 4 sticks to run with auto settings - that just isn't going to happen. I think you might be getting ahead of yourself a little here, so lets just start from the beginning and get you up and running... First, you need to CMOS clear as stated above. Jumpers are on your mobo - just follow the directions are you should be good to go. Next, you should boot with just one stick, furthest orange slot from CPU. A single stick will NOT work in any other slot. Are there any errors showing? Repeat for each of the sticks. All should run fine. Then get the matched pairs and put them both into the orange slots. Run the MemTest again. Any errors showing? Repeat with the other matched pair. Your sticks are the OCZ4002048ELGEGXT-K sticks, correct? If so, your default settings should look similar to the following. NOTE: These are the settings for 1 or 2 sticks in the orange slots. FSB Bus Frequency............................. - 200 LDT/FSB Frequency Ratio....................... - Auto CPU/FSB Frequency Ratio....................... - Auto PCI eXpress Frequency......................... - 100Mhz CPU VID StartUp Value......................... - StartUp CPU VID Control............................... - Auto CPU VID Special Control....................... - Auto LDT Voltage Control........................... - 1.20V Chip Set Voltage Control...................... - 1.50v DRAM Voltage Control.......................... - 2.70v DRAM Configuration Settings: DRAM Frequency Set............................ - 200=RAM/FSB:01/01 Command Per Clock (CPC)....................... - Enable CAS Latency Control (Tcl)..................... - 2.0 RAS# to CAS# delay (Trcd)..................... - 03 Min RAS# active time (Tras)................... - 08 Row precharge time (Trp)...................... - 03 Row Cycle time (Trc).......................... - 11 Bus Clocks Row refresh cyc time (Trfc)................... - 16 Row to Row delay (Trrd)....................... - 03 Bus Clocks Write recovery time (Twr)..................... - 03 Bus Clocks Write to Read delay (Twtr).................... - 02 Bus Clocks Read to Write delay (Trwt).................... - 03 Bus Clocks Refresh Period (Tref)......................... - 3120 DRAM Bank Interleave.......................... - Enabled DQS Skew Control.............................. - Auto DQS Skew Value................................ - 0 DRAM Drive Strength........................... - 8 DRAM Data Drive Strength...................... - 2 Max Async Latency............................. - Auto DRAM Response Time............................ - Normal Read Preamble Time............................ - Auto IdleCycle Limit............................... - 256 Cycles Dynamic Counter............................... - Disable R/W Queue Bypass.............................. - 16 x Bypass Max.................................... - 07x Post back your results with the above settings - and we can go from there to get you up and running with all 4 sticks.
