Hondo=TFD= Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I have a DFI LP UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert motherboard. When i hook everything up, nothing turns on, nothing moves, but for a sec, then shuts down. The only thing that comes on are the 4 red led lights at the bottom, and the single orange light at the top. Now, when i unplug ATX 12V cord, and power up, the fans come on and it seems like it wants to work. Has anyone else heard of this problem? Everything works when i hook it up to my ASUS A8N32 SLI board.  System- DFI LP UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert X2 4400 2gig G.skill ddr 400 eVga 7800GT

Praz Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Your power supply may be the problem. They are known to cause problems with DFI NF4 boards. baaj Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 If you can't get into BIOS, try a CMOS clear.
davidk21770 Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Will it run outside the case? (Could be a short). Have you tried the full CMOS clear? http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...04&postcount=24 Have you stripped the system to the minimum (CPU, single video card, memory, PSU) and tried? Kingfisher Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 I had a similiar experience with my build as well, I turned the rocker switch off and unplugged the power cord from my PSU then did a CMOS clear to solve it.
Hondo=TFD= Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Thanx for your replies. I'm doing a 24hours CMOS clear right now. Hopefully this works.
